The Premier League’s Monday night match is an exciting showdown between London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

As we head into Matchday 11, Tottenham find themselves at the summit of the Premier League table and remain unbeaten in 2023-24.

By contrast, Chelsea find themselves 11th – 14 points behind Spurs – having endured an inconsistent start to the season under Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham claimed a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace last time out, meaning they head into Monday’s clash on a four-game winning streak.

In terms of the bigger picture, Ange Postecoglou’s side have picked up eight wins and two draws this term, taking 26 points from a possible 30.

Not only have Spurs netted 22 goals this season (2.2 goals per game), but they have also conceded on just nine occasions (0.9 goals against per game).

Having scored over 1.5 goals in each of their home league matches this term, Tottenham will be confident of dispatching Chelsea and extending their unbeaten run.

As for Chelsea, they suffered a 2-0 defeat against Brentford at Stamford Bridge last weekend, meaning they have failed to win their last two league matches.

However, the Blues returned to winning ways in midweek, securing a 2-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers to book their place in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.

Chelsea appeared to have turned the corner when they picked up back-to-back wins against Fulham (2-0) and Burnley (4-1) before the international break.

Still, Mauricio Pochettino’s men have taken just 12 points from a possible 30 this season, winning only three of their 10 Premier League encounters.

Head-to-head: In February, Tottenham finally ended a 13-game winless run against Chelsea, which dated all the way back to 2019.

The Blues have won nine of their previous 14 meetings with Spurs across all competitions, suffering a solitary defeat in the process.

Team news: Ivan Perisic, Manor Solomon and Ryan Sessegnon are unavailable for Tottenham, while Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies are doubts for Monday.

Chelsea’s extensive injury list features Wesley Fofana, Ben Chilwell, Romeo Lavia, Christopher Nkunku, Armando Broja, Carney Chukwuemeka and Trevoh Chalobah.

At the end of the day, this London derby brings together two rivals in contrasting form, with Spurs outperformer Chelsea in every department right now.

With that in mind, Forebet predicts that table-topping Tottenham Hotspur will score over 1.5 goals on their way to defeating mid-table Chelsea.
