Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool will put their unbeaten records on the line when they do battle in the Premier League on Saturday.

Both sides are yet to taste defeat in the league this season, with second-placed Liverpool sitting two points clear of fourth-placed Tottenham in the table.

Can Ange Postecoglou’s men extend their hot streak on home soil? Or will Jurgen Klopp’s side spoil the party in North London?

Spurs served up an eventful 2-2 draw with Arsenal last weekend, coming from behind on two occasions thanks to a brace from Son Heung-min.

That means Tottenham have won four of their previous five Premier League matches, following a 2-2 draw with Brentford on the opening weekend.

There is no denying that Postecoglou has made a big impact since arriving at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, taking 14 points from a possible 18.

On top of that, Spurs have scored 15 goals in six league outings this season, meaning only Manchester City, Brighton and Newcastle have netted more goals in 2023-24.

That said, Liverpool have also scored 15 goals in the Premier League this term, conceding two goals fewer than Tottenham.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have also won each of their previous five league outings, with a 3-1 victory over West Ham United coming last weekend.

Across all competitions, the Reds are on a seven-game winning streak thanks to a 3-1 victory over Leicester City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.

Having lost just two of their last 24 Premier League matches, Liverpool will be confident of avoiding defeat on Saturday, regardless of Tottenham’s impressive form.

Head-to-head: When Tottenham and Liverpool last met back in April, Klopp’s side claimed a dramatic 4-3 victory over Spurs.

As a result, Tottenham have failed to win any of their previous 11 Premier League matches against the Reds, suffering nine defeats in the process.

Team news: Tottenham’s lengthy injury list contains Ivan Perisic, Rodrigo Bentancur, Ryan Sessegnon, Bryan Gil and Brennan Johnson, while James Maddison is a doubt.

As for Liverpool, there are question marks over the fitness of Trent Alexander-Arnold, although Thiago Alcantara remains sidelined due to injury.

Both Tottenham and Liverpool have made an impressive start to the season, but Klopp’s men are expected to flex their muscles this time around.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score on Saturday, with Liverpool netting over 2.5 goals on their way to victory.
