Arsenal seem to have dropped out of the race for the Premier League title in the last few weeks. Defeats against Watford and last time out at Chelsea have left the Gunners 12 points behind league leaders Chelsea in the table.

On Saturday lunchtime the side from north London welcome relegation-battlers Hull City to the Emirates Stadium.

This game on paper looks a comfortable one for Arsene Wenger’s side. However, the Tigers have been revived by the arrival of Portuguese boss Marco Silva. The Tigers have lost just one of their last four top-flight games and that was at league leaders Chelsea.

In their last two games, the Tigers have drawn at Manchester United and beaten Liverpool 2-0 at the KCOM Stadium. Silva has instilled new confidence in the team and also brought in seven new players in the January transfer window. Two of those new players, Alfred N’Diaye and Oumar Niasse scored in that recent win over Liverpool.

The new players and boss have given the team a much-needed lift. An unlikely win in north London would move the Tigers out of the relegation zone and into 15th place in the table.

If they are to cause a shock then Silva’s side will need to improve on their previous away displays, as the Tigers have suffered nine defeats in their last ten away games in the Premier League.

Despite Arsenal’s recent dip, the Gunners are usually strong on home soil, as the recent defeat against Watford ended a five-match winning run in the league on home soil for the Wenger’s side. The Gunners also have a good record against Hull, having gone 13 games unbeaten against the Tigers in all competitions.

Arsenal will be favourites to win this clash and Forebet predicts a Gunners win. However, Hull have shown in recent weeks that opponents cannot afford to underestimate them or they can emerge with unexpected results.
