Juventus to put Crotone to the sword

Italian champions Juventus travel to struggling Crotone on Wednesday in one of the biggest mismatches that Serie A could ever produce.

Normal service has been resumed at Juventus after a slight blip in a 2-1 defeat Fiorentina in Mid-January. Since that defeat at the Viola, Max Allegri’s side have recorded three consecutive Serie A wins and are currently six points ahead of second-place Napoli in the race for the Scudetto.

Last time out the Bianconeri recorded a 1-0 home win over in-form Inter at the Juventus Stadium. The visitors have become synonymous with clean sheets in the Italian top-flight in recent years. And Allegri’s side have been very strong at the back in Serie A of late, keeping clean sheets in five of their last six outings.

Juventus’ form has not been quite as formidable away from home of late in the top-flight, as the men from Turin have lost three of their last six away games in Serie A.

Crotone head into this clash 19th in the Serie A table and looking likely to head back to Serie B next season. The home side are currently nine points away from safety, having lost four of their last six Serie A games.

In fact, Crotone have won just three times in the Italian top-flight this season. However, two of those victories have come in their last three home outings, so they are definitely slightly strong home soil. The visit of the champions represents a major challenge for the minnows.

One major concern for the Serie A debutants is the fact they have kept just one clean sheet in their ten home games in the Italian top-flight this season.

Forebet predicts that Crotone are unlikely to add to that number of clean sheets in this one and that the Italian champions will emerge from this game with maximum points.
