Lyon to Keep up Hopes of a Top 5 Finish With a Win Over Reims

Lyon and Reims will clash at the Groupama Stadium this weekend with the two sides separated by eight points in the Ligue 1 table with just two games left to play in France's top flight as Lyon aim to get back into Europe.
Lyon are coming into this game with 17 wins and 11 losses on the board after a 3-1 win over Monaco last time out. Alexandre Lacazette scored yet again that day, as Rayan Cherki and Maxence Caqueret scored a goal each too.
It puts Lacazette on 26 goals and just two behind Kylian Mbappe with two games left to play in the race for the top scorer award.
The club have now moved within four points of Lille in fifth place and now have a chance to get into Europe once again for next season, but they do need other results to go in their favour and win their final two games of the campaign too.
Laurent Blanc’s men have only lost one of their past four games and also managed to defeat Montpellier in a stunning 5-4 win the other week before a loss to Clermont Foot two weeks back.
Blanc's side are also sitting behind Rennes in sixth by three points in the race to get in the top six.
As for Reims, their hopes to get into Europe have been destroyed in recent weeks and they have dropped from seventh down into 11th and now sit behind Lille in fifth by 12 points.
It has meant no chance of European football for some time, and their aims are merely to finish in the top 10 this season.
Reims are sitting adrift of Nice in ninth by one point and they are behind Lorient by one point in 10th too.
Positively, the club come into this game with a better goals difference than Lorient too, so there is a good chance they can get into the top 10 this campaign.
Last time out Reims drew 2-2 with the already-relegated Angers at home after also losing to Lens the week before that.
They did, however, defeat Lille 1-0 before this run but it does still mean only one win in the past seven games after also losing to Strasbourg, Rennes and Clermont Foot.
