Torino and Salernitana Likely to Share the Points This Weekend
2954

Torino have crashed into the bottom half of the table once again after a recent struggle and the club will be aiming to get back into the top 10 when they play hosts to Salerntiana at the Olympic Grande Torino with only a handful of points separating the two.

After a fantastic run of form throughout the early weeks of 2023 that saw Torino get into the top eight, the Turin side now sit down in 11th and behind Juventus in seventh by six points. At the same time, despite Saleritana sitting down in 29th, the club are ahead of them by only nine points.

A loss here would be one of the worst of the season for Torino to deal with and based on current form, it's tough to see them winning so convincingly.

Ivan Juric's men lost last time out in Turin when they were beaten 1-0 by Roma. Before that, they were smashed 4-0 at home by Napoli and also drew 1-1 with Sassolo.

This now means Juric's side have won 10 games and lost 11 and drawn eight so far in the league and come into this game with just 30 goals scored - this is the fewest goals scored inside the top 13 and the next lowest scorers outside of the relegation zone is in fact Empoli, Lecce, Spezia and Salernitana.

Torino's last win came in a 2-0 victory on the road against Lecce that saw Wilfried Singo and Antonio Sanabria score a goal each within three minutes of each other during the first half.

As for Salernitana, they secured a decent point against Inter Milan last time out at the Arechi Stadium thanks to a 90th-minute goal from Antonio Candreva.

Just prior to this, however, the club drew 1-1 with Spezia and 2-2 with Bologna to bring them closer to the relegation zone.

They did also draw with AC Milan at the San Siro before these results, however, and Paulo Sousa's men are technically unbeaten for over a month now.

Sousa's side are sitting above the drop zone by just seven points now and they can be thrown deeper into trouble with a loss here.

This would be their 13th defeat of the season with them also winning only six games and letting in 49 goals - only those in the bottom two have let in more goals than Salernitana.

Forebet predicts a win draw here with both sides in poor runs of form. Forebet also predicts the game to see under 2.5 goals.
