Valencia are two points off relegation safety ahead of La Liga matchday 25. Los Che are in danger of relegation this season, as their problems continue to mount.

Osasuna are up next for Valencia in La Liga. Los Rojillos are eighth in the standings and having a fantastic season. The Pamplona-based club are in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey and led the tie 1-0 over Athletic Bilbao after the first match.

Osasuna are just three points off the top six and the final European qualification place. Achieving a berth in Europe next season would be a tremendous accomplishment for Osasuna.

Valencia edged the last six head-to-head meetings against Osasuna, with three wins, one draw, and two defeats. Earlier this season, Valencia defeated Osasuna 2-1 at El Sadar thanks to goals from Justin Kluivert and Mouctar Diakhaby on either side of halftime.

Osasuna didn’t get onto the scoresheet until the second minute of second-half stoppage-time. Darko Brasanac got the team’s only goal of the match. Osasuna had two players sent off during the match.

Unai Garcia and Ruben Pena were sent off with straight red cards in the second half.

Los Rojillos are playing well, but they only took six points from the last six matches (one win and three draws). Goals were in short supply with four scored and six conceded across the six matches.

Valencia are at the bottom of the form table after taking just three points from the last 18 points on offer. Los Che scored just two times in their last six matches. Valencia’s lack of scoring is one of the chief reasons they are in the bottom three.

Osasuna manager Jagoba Arrasate has only one player in the treatment room ahead of the trip to Valencia. Pena is a doubt to play following a leg injury.

Valencia manager and former player Ruben Baraja has several players recovering from injuries. Defender Gabriel Paulista is ruled out with a leg injury and forward Marcos de Sousa is a doubt following an ankle injury.

Defender Jose Gaya could miss the game with an arm problem. Forward Edinson Cavani may miss the match with a muscle issue, and goalkeeper Jaume Domenech is out with an ACL injury. Cavani is a big miss because he leads the team in goals with five.

Neither Valencia nor Osasuna are in good form. Both struggled for goals in the last six matches, and it should lead to a low-scoring draw at full-time. Osasuna have drawn the third-most games this season. Saturday’s match should finish 1-1 at Mestalla.
