Manchester City to roll over Bournemouth in the PL

Manchester City are two points off first-place Arsenal ahead of matchday 25 in the Premier League. The Cityzens were shocked a week ago, as they could only muster a 1-1 draw versus Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Pep Guardiola’s team could only manage a 1-1 midweek Champions League draw versus RB Leipzig in Germany. Manchester City have had difficulty finishing off teams this season, which could ultimately see them fail to win the two biggest competitions they are currently in.

Bournemouth will welcome City to Dean Court on Saturday for a Premier League clash. The Cherries are 17th in the league after a 1-0 win away to Wolverhampton Wanderers a week ago. Bournemouth are unbeaten in back-to-back Premier League fixtures.

Manchester City are on a six-match winning streak against Bournemouth. Earlier this season, the Cityzens rolled to a 4-0 win over Bournemouth in the league at the Etihad Stadium.

Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne, and Phil Foden scored first-half goals to put Man City on their way to the win. Bournemouth’s Jefferson Lerma scored an own goal in the second half to give Man City a four-goal advantage.

Manchester City are top of the form table with 13 points from the last six matches and are unbeaten in three straight fixtures. City have a road record of 6W-3D-3L with a goal difference of +8.

Bournemouth picked up just five points from the last 18 points on offer in the division. The Cherries are on a two-match home draw streak. No team has conceded more goals this season in the Premier League than Bournemouth’s 44.

Eight players are in the treatment room for Bournemouth. David Brooks has a thigh injury and has been ruled out. Lewis Cook is also out following a knee injury. Lloyd Kelly is also out of action with a calf problem.

Meanwhile, manager Gary O’Neil is hopeful that Illia Zabarnyi, Marcus Tavernier, Jefferson Lerma, Jordan Zemura, and Junior Stanislas will be fit. Each is suffering from a fitness problem ahead of the game.

Man City pair Kevin De Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte are both nursing illnesses, which kept them out of the Champions League last-16 first leg versus RB Leipzig. Centre-back John Stones is ruled out with a thigh injury.

City rolled over Bournemouth 4-0 in the reverse fixture. Man City should ease to victory once more against Bournemouth in the league, as they posted a 3-0 victory.
