Liverpool and Brentford Could Play Out a Thriller on Monday

Brentford will welcome Liverpool to the Brentford Community Stadium this Monday in the Premier League as the Bees look to build on some decent form over the past few months while the Reds are now eyeing up the top four once again.

After a terrible start to this Premier League season, Liverpool have now managed to put together a run of form that sees them in sixth and with a great chance to put pressure on the Champions League spots.

Liverpool have a game in hand on fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, while also sitting ahead of Fulham in seventh by three points.

The Reds are behind Spurs by two points, while fourth-placed Manchester United are ahead by four points. The Reds still have a fantastic goalscoring record this season with 33 goals netted from 26 games, as they've only let in 19 goals too.

Oddly enough, Jurgen Klopp's men didn't actually score a goal of their own in the win over Leicester, as Wout Faes scored two own goals in the game to hand Liverpool all three points from behind.

A loss in the EFL Cup to Manchester City on the club's return to competitive action put a damper on the past few weeks, but Klopp's side did ease past Unai Emery's Aston Villa too.

Mohamed Salah scored that day, while Virgil van Dijk netted too, before Stefan Bajcetic scored his first Premier League goal.

Brentford remain in the top half by just a narrow margin, as they eased past West Ham United 2-0 last time out.

Ivan Toney scored once more that day, as Josh Dasilva also netted in the first half of another London derby win for Brentford.

The Bees drew 2-2 with Spurs in their return to action just over a week ago, as Vitaly Janelt scored before another goal from Toney.

Brentford are 10th right now with 27 goals scored and 27 conceded. What's more, they have won just five of their 17 games and also have to deal with clubs around them having a game in hand to play.

The Bees are actually only behind Liverpool by five points in the Premier League table, with them drawing the most games so far in the division with eight.

When these two sides have met in the Premier League over the past two years, it’s usually been filled with goals. Forebet predicts a win for Liverpool and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
