Zamalek's Stunning Run of Form to Continue by Beating Al Mokawloon

Christmas Day will see Al Mokawloon and Zamalek SC battle in the Egyptian Premier League with the away side sitting in second ahead of a meeting at the Arab Contractors Stadium as the home outfit looks to move into the top six before 2023.

Al Mokawloon have struggled for consistency this season after eight games and with them now scoring eight times and letting in eight goals too, it's clear to see where their inconsistencies lie and why they are down in eight.

At the same time, they are behind seventh because of one game less won, while they sit behind sixth place by four points.

This does come off the back of Al Mokawloon winning just two games all season long. At the same time, they have managed to lose only once, but in losing five games too, the club have earned almost half of their points so far from draws.

Al Mokawloon have had a fairly decent December, however. They started the month with a 2-1 win over Ceramica Cleopatra, before then losing to Pyramids in what is their only defeat of the season so far.

A draw against Smouha would come soon after, before Al Mokawloon returned to the win column with a victory over ENPPI. Last time out, the club drew with Al Masry as they took the lead on two occasions but forfeited it too.

As for Zamalek, they are on a rampage in December. In fact, by winning four of their last five games, they are on the best winning run in the division right now and they have also rocketed themselves into second as a result.

The gap is now only two points on Al Ahly at the top of the Egyptian Premier League, but Zamalek remain one of the three teams yet to lose a game after eight outings.

Their only dropped points this month came in a 2-2 draw with Al Masry, before then going on to beat El Gaish 4-0, Pyramids 1-0, National Bank 1-0, as they last defeated Haras El Hodou 4-0 too.

They are also sitting nine points above Al Mokawloon too after a fantastic run of form, but better yet, in conceding just three goals, the club are the second-best defensive side in the Egyptian Premier League, while two of those goals came in one game.

Forebet predicts a win here for Zamalek and for the game to see over 2.5 goals once more.
