Watford v Everton a clash hard to predict

Watford v Everton a clash hard to predict

Watford and Everton clash in the Premier League’s early kick-off this Saturday, with neither side in great form.

In truth, the home side have blown hot and cold this season. However, results have taken a turn for the worse for the Hornets of late, as Walter Mazzarri’s side have lost three of their last four outings in the Premier League.

However, at Vicarage Road their form has been more encouraging in the Premier League, as they have suffered just one defeat in their last five top-flight outings, recording three wins in that run of games. The Hornets are definitely stronger on home soil.

The visitor's form has been poor of late and Ronald Koeman’s side have won just one of their last ten games in all competitions. Despite that poor run of form the Merseysider’s are eighth in the table due to their good start to the campaign.

A win for Watford would move the Hornets above Everton and possibly into the top-six of the league table. The Toffees form on their travels has also been poor, with just two wins recorded from their last 12 outings away from home in the top-flight.

One positive for the Toffees heading into this game is that the Hornets have never beaten them in the Premier League. In fact, the Merseysider’s have won four of the six meetings, including two of the three meetings at Vicarage Road.

Both games last season ended in draws and those are the only two Premier League meetings between the pair that the Hornets have avoided defeat. The home side will be confident of improving that poor record against the struggling Toffees, though.

Forebet predicts that this game will end all square, which in truth would do the visitors no good in their quest for a top-six finish this season.
