Red Devils can get back to winning ways against Feyenoord

Manchester United welcome Dutch side Feyenoord to Old Trafford in the Europa League on Thursday night, as the home looks to get back to winning ways.

United head into this game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Arsenal last time out. In truth, the Red Devils enjoyed the better of that particular clash and would have secured maximum points if it was not for a late equaliser from Olivier Giroud.

The Red Devils have got a mixed record in this competition this season, having won two and lost games in the group, including a 1-0 defeat in the reverse fixture in Rotterdam.

In fact, United do not have a good record at all in this competition in recent times, as they have won just four of their last 12 outings in this competition. However, three of those victories have come at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho’s side are currently third in the group but would leapfrog their Dutch opponents in the table with a victory in this one.

Feyenoord started the campaign off very well, but their form has dipped in recent weeks and they have won just one of their last four games in all competitions. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side suffered their first defeat of the campaign prior to the international break, so confidence their confidence may have taken a knock.

They remain top of the Eredivisie. However, their recent form will be a major concern to everybody associated with the club. The Dutch team will be able to welcome back ‘keeper Brad Jones and midfielder Karim El Ahmadi from injury, but this game remains a tough one for the men from Rotterdam.

This game could be a very close one with neither side in great form. Forebet predicts that Manchester United will win this one in a tight low-scoring game. That looks to be a shrewd bet.
