More misery for Sunderland at Bournemouth
Sunderland have experienced nothing but disappointment in the Premier League this season. On Saturday the Black Cats travel to the south coast to face Bournemouth.
David Moyes’ side have failed to win any of their ten Premier League games this season, suffering eight defeats for their troubles. The trip to the Vitality Stadium is not exactly an easy trip.
The Cherries are unbeaten in four home games in the Premier League, winning three times and also keeping three clean sheets. In that run, Eddie Howe’s team have beaten Everton and also recorded a goalless draw with Tottenham last time out on home soil.
Despite the defeat last time out in the Premier League at Middlesbrough, the Cherries form has improved in the top-flight. The Boro defeat ended a four-game unbeaten run in the Premier League and Howe’s team will be determined to get back on track in top-flight.
Unluckily for Sunderland, the Black Cats have won just one of their last 13 away games in the top-flight. Sunderland boss David Moyes is in need of a win with speculation in the media that the Scot could be exiting the club if his side suffers defeat against the Cherries.
The team have made a woeful start to the campaign. However, Moyes stepped into an almost impossible job. Sunderland have been flirting with relegation for a long time and their squad needed major improvement in the summer.
Moyes did bring in ten players, but there are question marks over the quality of the players that arrived. The Black Cats boss was not exactly given a massive transfer kitty, so as a result, he ended up signing mediocre players.
Unfortunately for Moyes, the situation at the Stadium of Light does not look like improving anytime soon and the experienced boss could be in for another difficult weekend.
