Zamalek to pull away at top with win at National Bank of Egypt
2910

Wednesday evening brings us action from the Egyptian top flight and a Premier League clash between 7th placed National Bank of Egypt and the league leaders, Zamalek, when the two teams meet at the National Bank of Egypt Stadium, where the visitors will be keen to pull further away at the top of the division.

Despite holding home advantage for this clash, National Bank face a tough assignment as they prepare for the visit of Zamalek.

Although the hosts have made themselves a tough team to beat overall in the Premier League.

National Bank are unbeaten in their last 11 matches overall, picking up four wins in the process, courtesy of victories over El Gouna, Misr, Lel Makkasa, El Sharqia Dokhan and Al Masry, along with being involved in no fewer than seven draws as well.

However, these four wins that National Bank have collected were against teams situated in the lower reaches of the division.

While Zamalek are expected to provide sterner opposition on Wednesday night.

Onto Zamalek then, and as mentioned previously, the visitors sit top of the Premier League with a two-point buffer over 2nd placed Pyramids.

But the visitors know they have a great opportunity to extend this lead to five points with a win at the National Bank of Egypt Stadium, especially as they have registered four wins out of their last five outings on the road.

Overall results have been pretty steady where Zamalek have been concerned as well, despite two recent defeats which saw them slip up against ENPPI and El Geish, both of which were inflicted upon Zamalek on their home ground, but the major difference between Zamalek and their upcoming hosts, is the fact that the visitors have found ways to pick up all three points rather than being held to stalemates.

Zamalek have recorded 14 wins from their total of 21 matches played to date while results away from home have been even more impressive; Zamalek have won nine out of their 11 away games so far in this Egyptian Premier League campaign and includes winning four of their last five games on their travels.

With this in mind, Zamalek look the more likely to capture all three points in this encounter.
