On Tuesday night, Algeria hosts Cameroon in the second leg of the third round of the World Cup qualifiers in the African section of qualifying.
Algeria recorded a 1-0 win in the first leg and are now just 90 minutes away from sealing their place at the World Cup.
The first leg victory was achieved by an Islam Slimani goal. The away goal rule means that the visitors have to score at least two goals to have any chance of making it through to the World Cup.
Algeria headed into the first leg on the back of a horrendous African Cup of Nations, in which they failed to make it past the group stages, suffering two defeats in the process.

In fact, they had recorded four straight wins in qualifying, while also keeping clean sheets in their last three qualifiers.
Cameroon have an inconsistent recent away record in World Cup qualifying. However, their record of just three wins in their last nine away qualifiers doesn’t exactly bode well for an away win in this fixture.
