Wolfsburg to Fall to Another Defeat at the Hands of Leverkusen and Stay in the Bottom Half
3012

Two sides in completely contrasting areas of the Bundesliga table will clash this weekend as Wolfsburg welcome Bayer Leverkusen to the Volkswagen Arena with Florian Kohfeldt's men looking to break into the top half as the away side aim to stay in the top four.

It has been a really tough season for Wolfsburg, as they now sit in 12th and are finding it really tough to get themselves out of the bottom half of the table with them losing yet again this past weekend.

The Wolves fell to defeat at the hands of Freiburg, as they have now lost 13 times from 26 games in the league, and with 40 goals conceded, the club have now lost exactly 50% of their Bundesliga games so far this season.

In fact, the club sit with the second worst defensive record in the top 12 of the league this campaign, which ironically, only sees Leverkusen concede more than them.

On the other hand, though, Wolfsburg have seen only 29 of their own efforts go in, and this too sees them with the second worst goalscoring record in the top 12, with only Vfl Bochum netting fewer than them.

Kohfeldt's side did manage to beat Union Berlin two weeks ago, and this was just their second win in the past five games. At the same time, despite the torrid form in the points tally, Wolfsburg have still managed to score 12 goals since the end of January, so at the very least, their goalscoring exploits have improved as time has gone on.

Leverkusen, though, still sit in third but are out of the Europa League after a 1-0 defeat at the BayArena to Atalanta forced a 4-2 aggregate scoreline for the Serie A side, so for Gerardo Seoane's men, it's all about staying in the top three and returning to the Champions League for next season.

On one hand, Leverkusen are on a two-game winless run in the Bundesliga too after drawing with league leaders Bayern Munich, before a 1-0 defeat on home soil to Koln. On the other hand, the club are also boasting 13 wins from 26 games and with a fantastic 64 goals scored already this campaign.

Forebet predicts plenty of goals in this game with both sides seeing the goals go in at either end throughout the course of their wild seasons so far. Forebet expects a Leverkusen win, and for the game to see over 2.5 goals here.
