AC Milan to Gain More Momentum in Their Title Quest With a Win Over Fiorentina Expected

Serie A title chasers AC Milan will travel to Florence this weekend as they meet with Fiorentina in what is a must-win game for both sides as Stefano Pioli’s men can’t lose ground on Napoli whilst the home side must keep up momentum to ensure they are in a solid spot for a European fight before the winter break.

It has been another excellent season for Milan so far and they might just be the favourites to win the title for the first time in a decade and subsequently snatch the trophy from their local rivals, Inter Milan.

This comes after the two Milan sides played out a tight score draw before the international break, while at the same time, Pioli’s side even beat Jose Mourinho’s impressive Roma 2-1 over in Rome a week prior.

Milan’s start to the season has been anything but easy too, as they also met with Juventus a few weeks back and besides a clash with table-topping and title-chasing Napoli, they have played everyone inside the top six already as they also came from behind to beat Atalanta away from home in stunning fashion.

The club are yet to play Lazio, however, but once again, given their form right now, it’s tough to see how anybody in Italy beats them. In fact, they remain, alongside Napoli, the only unbeaten sides left in the Serie A and over time, we may end up seeing this become more of a two-horse race in Italy’s top flight.

What makes things all the more impressive for Milan this past year is their squad depth and talent. Many unknown faces have become household names in their homeland and combine this with youth talent like Daniel Maldini and veterans such as Oliver Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and it does seem as if Pioli has amassed the perfect squad to compete for the title.

Moreover, it seems as if Milan will exit the Champions League on quite saddening terms as they are yet to win a game in Europe in what is their first time back in the Champions League for many years. However, this surely only benefits their title quest.

As for Fiorentina, they recently lost to Juventus to make it six wins and six defeats from 12 games for them, meaning they’ve had just about as up-and-down of a season as a team could have thus far.

Combine this with their 16 goals scored and 14 conceded and it’s fair to say the Florence side are not expected to win here.

Forebet are predicting a win for Milan in a game that will see over 2.5 goals as the 18-time champions of Italy continue their march to the top.
