Bayern Munich set for easy home win over Eintracht Frankfurt

Bayern Munich will be aiming to secure their sixth straight Bundesliga win when Eintracht Frankfurt visit the Allianz Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Eintracht, on the other hand, will be hoping to end a run of five consecutive draws in the German top-flight when they head south to Bavaria.

Bayern Munich currently find themselves at the top of the table – three points clear of second-place Bayer Leverkusen and 11 points ahead of Frankfurt.

The Bavarians head into Sunday’s clash on the back of a massive 5-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Unsurprisingly, Robert Lewandowski bagged a brace in midweek – taking his tally for the season to nine goals in 13 appearances across all competitions.

The Polish striker has netted seven goals in six Bundesliga games this term, helping his side to become the top scorers in the league by some distance.

Bayern haven’t lost any of their past 20 home games in all competitions and have only lost four of their previous 54.

It is also worth pointing out that Bayern head into this game on the back of nine consecutive victories across all competition.

Eintracht Frankfurt, meanwhile, have failed to register a single league win so far this season – although they have only suffered one loss.

Having drawn each of their previous five Bundesliga outings, they will surely be desperate to pick up their first win of the campaign this weekend.

Only the four teams below Eintracht Frankfurt have scored fewer goals this term. That said, Frankfurt have only conceded nine goals.

Eintracht picked up a late 1-0 victory over Belgian side Antwerp in the Europa League on Thursday, with Goncalo Paciencia netting a stoppage-time penalty.

Head-to-head: Eintracht actually managed to beat Bayern 2-1 at home when the teams met back in February.

Still, let’s not forget that Bayern Munich have won six of their previous eight games against Frankfurt – scoring exactly five goals on four occasions in that time.

Team news: Bayern trio Sven Ulreich, Corentin Tolisso and Kingsley Coman are injured, while Bejamin Pavard is suspended following a red card last time out.

As for Eintracht, they will be without injured quartet Sebastian Rode, Christopher Lenz, Evan N’Dicka and Erik Durm for the trip to Bavaria.

Given that Bayern have won each of their last five Bundesliga games – and Frankfurt have drawn all of their previous five – a home win is on the cards here.

Forebet predicts that Bayern Munich will cruise to victory on Sunday, scoring over 2.5 goals in the process.
