Another Serie A Draw Expected for Sassuolo and Torino
4141

Sassuolo will play host to Torino this Friday night at the Stadio Citta del Tricolore as both sides look to move out of their mid-table slumps and progress further forward in what has been a topsy-turvy start for them in Serie A so far.

The hosts have earned four points thus far from their opening three fixtures, however, a defeat to Roma last time out brought Sassuolo back down to earth a little.

On the other hand, Torino accumulated their first points of the season as they demolished newbies Salernitana 4-0.

This is a big campaign for Sassuolo, having finished eighth last time out and they will have certainly headed into the new Serie A campaign with confidence, especially after beating Hellas Verona 3-2 on the opening weekend. Giacomo Raspadori, Filip Djuricic and Hamed Traore opened their accounts that day.

Sassuolo later earned a point when they drew with Sampdoria. The Black and Greens would have been hugely disappointed not to have left with all three points, however, given how they were significantly better throughout the game.

A tally of four points from two games would put them in decent stead for the season. However, Alessio Dionisi's men would travel to Roma after the international break, where Stephen El Shaarawy bagged in the 91st minute to hand Jose Mourinho another win on his 1000th game and ended a decent bit of form.

As for Torino, they did manage to bounce back after two defeats for them seemingly continuing their torrid form of last season.

The 4-0 win over Salernitana saw Antonio Sanabria, Bremer, Tommaso Pobega and Sasa Lukic all score for the first time this season.

That will certainly fill I Granata with confidence, given how they lost to Atalanta and Fiorentina in their opening first two games, and although these were narrow defeats, they struggled to keep out both sides throughout each fixture.

Torino really do need to get a result here if they are to distance themselves further from the relegation spots of Serie A, as they only prevented dropping into Serie B last time out by four points.

Given the form of either side, this game is expected to be a close one, with neither outfit yet to fully establish themselves this campaign so far.

With this said, Forebet predicts a draw and a game that will see under 2.5 goals as both continue to struggle in the early stages of 2021/22.
