Wolves Aiming for the Top 10 as Luton Look to Jump Out of the Bottom 3

Luton Town can take a giant step towards immediate relegation back into the Championship this weekend if they lose to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Luton are back in the bottom three after a second 5-1 loss in a row. They first lost to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium 5-1 before returning to Kenilworth Road where they also suffered a 5-1 defeat.

The club did manage to get a win recently, however, beating Bournemouth at Kenilworth Road thanks to a finish each from Carlton Morris and Jordan Clark.

Nevertheless, with losses to Arsenal and Tottneham Hotspur in the past month both away in north London, Luton are staring in the face of a drop back down into the Championship which can be confirmed within the next two weeks, should they lose and Nottingham Forest win.

The Hatters are behind Forest by one point in the Premier League table with 12 points still left to play for.

However, with 75 goals now let in for Luton, it's been a poor campaign and one where they have put on record one of the worst-ever defensive records.

In fact, they are only 13 goals behind Derby County's tally of 88 from 2007/08.

This game ended in a 1-1 in the reverse fixture, as Morris scored from the penalty spot once more to earn his side a point after Pedro Neto scored the opening goal for Wolves. Jeanricner Bellegarde was also sent off in that game.

As for Wolves, they suffered yet another home defeat last time out, meaning they have now lost their past three home league games and lost the past four games at Molineux when you include the 3-2 defeat to Coventry City in the FA Cup.

The other three losses have seen the club suffer a defeat to West Ham United and then to Arsenal as well, as Bournemouth managed to beat them during the week in the Midlands as well.

Nevertheless, there's been no real concern of facing relegation this season for Wolves and they come into this match just two points behind Bournemouth in 10th.

Wolves are aiming to end a seven-game winless run since beating Fulham at the start of March. Forebet now predicts a win for Wolves and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
