Can Arsenal Extend 10-Game Unbeaten Streak at Expense of Inconsistent Brighton?
3209

The Gunners will continue their pursuit of the Premier League title when they travel to the south coast to take on the Seagulls on Saturday afternoon.

Mikel Arteta’s side find themselves in a three-horse race for the trophy, along with Liverpool and Manchester City, while Brighton remain in the hunt for a European finish.

Can Arsenal take another step towards glory? Or will Roberto De Zerbi’s men spoil this party? Keep reading to find out what Forebet’s predictive analytics model forecasts.

Brighton were held to a goalless draw by Brentford on Wednesday, despite racking up 67% possession and 24 shots at the Gtech Community Stadium.

That stalemate followed a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at the weekend, meaning the Seagulls head into Saturday’s clash on a two-game winless run.

To make matters worse for De Zerbi’s men, they have managed to win just one of their last five Premier League matches, recording two draws and two losses in that time.

Still, Brighton can take confidence from the fact that they have avoided defeat in each of their previous 12 home league games, notching six wins and six draws along the way.

Arsenal, meanwhile, cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Luton Town in midweek, racking up 58% possession and 13 shots in a comfortable home win.

The Gunners have now avoided defeat in each of their last 10 Premier League matches, picking up nine wins and one draw to strengthen their title bid.

Arteta’s men have also been scoring goals for fun since the turn of the year, netting 35 goals in 10 league games since the turn of the year (3.5 goals per game).

Head-to-head: Arsenal claimed a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture back in December, meaning they have won two of their last three league games against Brighton.

Across all competitions, however, the Seagulls have won three of their previous five meetings with the Gunners, scoring over 2.5 goals in two of those victories.

Team news: Solly March, Jack Hinshelwood, Kaoru Mitoma, Billy Gilmour and James Milner remain on Brighton’s injury list, while Evan Ferguson is a doubt for Saturday.

As for Arsenal, Jurrien Timber remains a long-term injury absentee, while there are question marks over Bukayo Saka after he missed the midweek win over Luton.

Despite their impressive home form, Brighton will likely struggle to prevent the Gunners from claiming all three points on Saturday.

Forebet’s AI algorithm predicts that Arsenal will secure a narrow victory on the south coast, keeping a clean sheet in the process.
