Can Jesus be the Man to Lift Arsenal to the Top Four?

We are only two games into the English Premier League season and Gabriel Jesus is already looking like one of the best pieces of transfer business this summer.
The Brazilian striker joined Arsenal from Manchester City for a fee believed to be around £45 million. With the arrival of Erling Haaland at the Etihad Stadium, it was deemed Jesus was surplus to requirements and the Gunners did not waste any time adding the striker to their squad.
Jesus made his debut in the 2-0 win at Crystal Palace in the Premier League. The Brazilian international did not score in the match but his overall play was superb, holding the ball up when required and making runs behind defenders. Jesus caused the Crystal Palace defence a lot of problems and that allowed more room for his teammates to play.
The home debut at the Emirates Stadium came against Leicester City on the weekend. It was a stunning performance from Jesus as he scored 2 goals and created 2 goals for his teammates.
Things could not have gone any better for Jesus in-front of his new fans although he would have wanted to seal the hattrick but it was not to be on this occasion.
Nonetheless, Jesus produced a strikers display that has left the Arsenal fans purring and the home crowd will be looking forward to more of the same as the season progresses.
Jesus appears to be relishing the opportunity to be the number one striker. At Manchester City, Jesus was in and out of the team and often asked to operate from a wider position.
At Arsenal, it is clear Jesus is going to be the first choice striker and will be picked as such for the foreseeable future. It is a role he is going to relish and it would be unsurprising if the Brazilian scores over 20 league goals in his first season at the Emirates Stadium.
In addition to his goals, Jesus brings a winning mentality to the Arsenal dressing room. During his time with Manchester City, Jesus played 121 top-flight matches and lost only 19 times.
He had a 76% winning rate under Pep Guardiola and that is the sign of a player who knows how to succeed at the highest level and perform in winning teams. Speaking about Jesus after the 4-2 win over Leicester City, Mikel Arteta said, “He lifts the standards.
The way every day he's training, the way he's talking today, the way they are connecting, I think it's very natural, but at the same time it's pretty impressive to do it that quickly.”
Jesus could be the key for Arsenal finishing in the top four this season. If he remains fit, the striker is going to score goals and be a leader in terms of mentality on and off the pitch.
