Harry Kane will continue to thrive at Tottenham

One of the transfer stories that has dominated the English press this summer has been Harry Kane potentially moving to Premier League champions Manchester City.
However, after all the speculation and rumours, the England captain has now stated that he is staying with the north London club, for this summer anyway.
Manchester City have reportedly seen bids rejected for Kane, as Spurs are believed to have valued their star attacker at around £150million. The fee was seemingly beyond the Citizens.
The player himself is reported to have wanted the move and even missed training to attempt to push a move through.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is known as a tough negotiator and Kane was not going to leave the club unless they got the exact price they wanted from the transfer. With the valuation unmet, Kane remains a Spurs player for the rest of the season.
Before his ill-advised avoidance of training earlier in the summer, Harry Kane had always been seen as the consummate professional. He always came as across a good guy, who cared about how his team does on the pitch, not just his own performances.
It is difficult to see his attitude changing in the near future, despite the potential move breaking down.
Harry Kane is still Tottenham’s leader and he will likely remain Spurs leader until he leaves the club. Once he is fully fit, Kane is likely to still be prolific and still perform to the best of his ability, because he is that sort of player.
Whether that main motivation is to do well for Tottenham or to even a future move, Harry Kane will likely thrive once again in the English top-flight this season.
Quite simply, it would be a big surprise if his form took a hit because he has too much on the line.
