In the second day of the first round of the Champions League, the champions of Germany and England will face each other. Yesterday, the other German giant Borussia Dortmund defeated Arsenal with ease and remains to be seen, whether the triumph of German football over the English one will be complete. Chelsea and Schalke 04 will present us a similar game, in which however, the chances of the english club seem much better.
At the beginning of the season both teams are not particularly convincing. Bayern difficultly manages their wins and City have not even won in the last two rounds of the Premier League, recording a defeat and a draw. Clearly, this is a prerequisite both teams to be highly motivated for success, which will significantly improve the mood in the squad.
Bayern Munich and Manchester City meet for the fifth time in the Champions League, as the four matches so far offered us spectacular football. So far Bayern and City have exchanged two defeats, which were a home and an away one.
Despite their home advantage, however, Bayern do now seem an absolute favorite to win this match. Pep Guardiola has huge problems with injured players, as in the long list can be seen the names of Franck Ribéry, Schweinsteiger and Javi Martínez.
Definitely we can expect a great clash, in which it is quite likely to be scored a lot of goals.
