Porto to maintain strong Primeira Liga form at Moreirense

On Friday night, Primeira Liga leaders Porto visit surprise-package Moreirense, as the visitors look to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
Moreirense are enjoying a strong campaign in the Portuguese top-flight, sitting fifth place. Ivo Vieira’s side has recorded back-to-back wins over Nacional and last time out a 1-0 victory at Belenenses. Despite their good form this season, the home side are five points behind the European spots in the Primeira Liga.
The home side’s recent league games have been relatively high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last eight matches in Portuguese top-flight.
Moreirense’s home form has played a big part in their lofty position in the table, as they have recorded six wins in seven matches on home soil. Their recent home games have been low scoring, though, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last eight league matches.
Porto are now just two points clear of second place Benfica at the top of the Primeira Liga table. However, the visitors are 13 games unbeaten in the league, having recorded 11 wins.
A goalless draw at Vitoria Guimaraes last time out was one of the few times Porto have not won in recent months in the Portuguese top-flight. Porto have been solid in defence of late, keeping clean sheets in four of their last six Primeira Liga matches.
Sergio Conceicao’s team are unbeaten in seven away games in the Portuguese top-flight, having recorded five wins. However, they have drawn two of their last three away games in the league.
Once again, Porto have been solid defensively on their travels, keeping clean sheets in five of their last seven matches in the league, while conceding just two goals.
Forebet predicts that Porto will record a victory in a low scoring game to extend their lead at the top of the Primeira Liga.
