Wolves set to get back to winning ways against West Ham

On Tuesday night, Wolves host West Ham at Molineux Stadium, as the home side look to get back to winning ways.

Last time out, Wolves could only draw 2-2 at League One strugglers Shrewsbury in the FA Cup fourth round. The draw was an illustration of the home side’s inconsistent form of late in all competitions.

In fact, Wolves have won two, drawn one and lost three of their last six Premier League games. The side from the Midlands won 4-3 against Leicester in their last top-flight outing though. The result against the Foxes means that three of Wolves last four league matches have produced over 2.5 goals.

Like their recent league form in general, Wolves recent home form has been highly inconsistent, as they have won three and lost five of their last eight home matches in the English top-flight.

Poor defensive displays have been the heart of Wolves poor home form of late, as they have conceded at least two goals in six of their last eight matches on home soil in the top-flight.

West Ham heads into this clash on the back of a shock 4-2 defeat against AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup. The Hammers will be glad to get back to league action and a chance to put that poor result right.

A win in the Midlands would move the visitors above the eighth-place visitors in the table. However, just like their hosts, the Hammers have been inconsistent of late in the top-flight, winning just once in four league matches.

The Hammers have lost their last two away games in the top-flight at Burnley and Bournemouth. Manuel Pellegrini’s side has also won just three of their last eight league matches on their travels.
