Cherries to upset to Wolves in their own backyard

Cherries to upset to Wolves in their own backyard

On Saturday afternoon, Wolves host Bournemouth at Molineux in the Premier League, as both teams look to push up the table.

Wolves are currently tenth place in the Premier League table but are just four points behind sixth-place Manchester United. After a poor run of form, the home side has now recorded back-to-back wins over Chelsea and last time Newcastle.

The home side’s recent games in the top-flight have been relatively high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in four of their last six matches.

Wolves home form has been inconsistent this season. In fact, the win over Chelsea in their last home match ended a three-game losing streak at Molineux for the home side. Nuno Espirito Santo’s team have won just three of their eight league games on home soil this season, so they do not have a great home record.

Wolves recent home games in the top-flight have been relatively low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their last eight matches at Molineux.

Bournemouth are eighth place in the Premier League table after a decent start to their top-flight campaign. However, Eddie Howe’s side has struggled for points of late, as the Cherries have lost five of their last six league matches.

The dip is understandable of late considering the team from the south coast have played Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and last time out Liverpool, who hammered the Cherries 4-0 at the Vitality Stadium.

Wherever Bournemouth go goals follow, as there have been over 2.5 goals scored in the Cherries last seven league outings.

Eddie Howe’s team have a poor recent away record, as the Cherries have lost four of their last six league matches on their travels. Unsurprisingly considering Bournemouth’s adventurous style of play, there have been over 2.5 goals scored in ten of their last 11 away games in the top-flight.

Forebet predicts that the Cherries will improve their recent away record by recording a victory in a high scoring game in the Midlands.
