It is a Premier League versus Championship match up on Friday night in the FA Cup third round, as Fulham host Rotherham United at Craven Cottage.

Marco Silva’s Fulham will go into the match in fine spirits, following their 2-1 come-from-behind win over Arsenal last time out in the Premier League.

The win ended a poor run of form for the Cottagers, which saw them go winless in four consecutive games in all competitions.

Fulham’s third-round FA Cup match with Rotherham United is a prelude to their Carabao Cup semifinal first leg fixture against Liverpool.

Rotherham are aiming for a giant killing this weekend. However, the Millers are in atrocious form heading into the match. They won just four of their opening 28 matches this season in all competitions.

United are a perpetual yo-yo club in the EFL Championship and EFL League One. They are rock bottom of the Championship but could still throw a surprise on Fulham at Craven Cottage.

However, Rotherham’s road form this season has been simply awful. They have not won on the road this term in all competitions, posting a record of 0W-3D-11L.

The team has a -30-goal difference playing away, scoring just nine times and conceding 39 road goals.

Fulham have been decent at home in all competitions, with a record of 7W-1D-4L and a goal difference of +8.

Forward Raul Jimenez leads Fulham in goals with five in all competitions. The Mexican international scored against Arsenal at the weekend to improve his goal scoring stats.

The Cottagers have scored by committee this season rather than thanks to a single player. The days of Aleksandar Mitrovic are long gone, and his usual 10-goal-plus haul.

Goals have been hard to come by for Rotherham. The duo of Jordan Hugill and Hakeem Odoffin have scored three goals apiece in the Championship and EFL Cup.

Silva could be cautious with his team selection due to the upcoming EFL Cup semifinal first leg against Liverpool. Fulham have a great chance of getting through against an injury-ravaged Liverpool.

Winger Adama Traore is unlikely to play due to a hamstring injury. Captain Tim Ream is ruled out with a calf injury.

Meanwhile, the trio of Calvin Bassey, Fode Ballo-Toure, and Alex Iwobi will miss the game due to their participation at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite missing players, Fulham should defeat Rotherham United 3-0 to prepare for their FA Cup semifinal against Liverpool.
