Joyce to enjoy a bad return to Manchester United

Wigan boss Warren Joyce has enjoyed a good start to life with the Latics. The Championship side have recorded three straight wins in the second tier. On Sunday, the Championship side visit Manchester United in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Joyce was formerly a youth coach at United prior to taking his position with the club from Lancashire. He was highly regarded at Old Trafford, but now he faces the biggest test of his fledgeling managerial career as he faces United and their high profile boss Jose Mourinho.
United’s recent good form has been slightly halted by consecutive draws in the Premier League and a defeat against struggling Hull in the FL Cup semi-final second leg. Despite the poor recent results, the Red Devils will be favourites to secure victory against their lower league opponents.
United have made Old Trafford a fortress once again of late, as the Red Devils are now unbeaten in their last 16 outings in all competitions on home soil, recording six wins in their last seven outings.
Mourinho is likely to rotate his starting line-up against the Championship side. French forward Anthony Martial will be recalled to starting line-up. Centre-back Eric Bailly has a chance of featuring after returning home from the Africa Cup of Nations. However, the Ivorian may return for the Red Devils home game with Hull in midweek.
Wigan have suffered just one defeat in their last five outings in all competitions, the Latics had previously suffered five straight defeats in all competitions. Joyce has turned things around in recent weeks, though, and the Latics are now out of the Championship relegation zone.
The visitor’s main priority is obviously maintaining their status in the second tier. However, a good display at Old Trafford would keep the team’s recent good momentum going, even if the trip does end in defeat as Forebet predicts.
