Tigers to be mauled at Chelsea

Highly rated Portuguese boss Marco Silva has taken on a massive task in becoming the boss Hull City. The team from Humberside are in the relegation zone and are unlikely to have a shed load of money to spend this month to strengthen their squad.

The Tigers boss has brought in attacking midfielder Evandro from FC Porto, while striker Oumar Niasse has arrived on loan until the end of the campaign. However, earlier this week they also lost Jake Livermore to West Brom.

Despite an injury crisis and lack of quality, the relatively young Hull boss has already made a big impression by winning two of his three games in charge of the team. His one defeat came against in-form Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Tigers gave their chances of Premier League survival a real lift with a 3-1 win against Bournemouth last time out. The win may have lifted spirits, but their next game is a daunting trip to Premier League leaders Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues recent record of one defeat in their last 14 home games in the top-flight does not bode well for an away win. Antonio Conte’s side have also won their last eight games on home soil in all competitions and their last three against the visitors.

The Tigers away form has been poor, as they have lost nine of their last ten games in all competitions on their travels. In the Premier League, they have suffered defeat in their last eight away outings. To call them travel-sick would be an understatement.

However, under Silva Hull have looked a far better team and produced a confident performance at Old Trafford in the aforementioned defeat at Old Trafford. The Tigers will no doubt give it a go at Stamford Bridge, but as Forebet predicts Chelsea are likely to have far too much quality for the visitors.
