QPR and Wolves set for a stalemate

Two out-of-form teams meet on Thursday night in the Championship, as QPR and Wolves go head-to-head at Loftus Road.

QPR are currently struggling in 15th place in the Championship table having hit a poor run of form in the second tier. The Hoops have won just one of their last five outings in the Championship, suffering three defeats in the process.

The home side are currently five points clear of Wolves and the relegation zone with the visitors only outside the drop zone on goal difference. Their recent form at Loftus Road in the Championship has been mixed of late, but they have suffered just one defeat in their last five league games on home soil.

Their home games have been relatively low-scoring in the Championship, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of the Hoops last five games at Loftus Road. The Londoners also have a poor record against Wolves, having won just two of the last 12 meetings in the Championship.

At Loftus Road, four of the last seven meetings between the two sides in all competitions have ended in draws.

Wolves head to London in terrible form. They currently sit 21st in the Championship table and have won just one of their last 11 outings in all competitions. The side from the Midlands have also won just one of their last eight away games in all competitions. In fact, Wolves have recorded just three wins in their last 21 away games in all competitions.

Paul Lambert’s side are in desperate need of a win to move clear of the drop zone, having failed to win any of their last nine games in all competitions.

It looks unlikely that the visitors will get back to winning ways in this clash. However, the hosts are not in great form so a point cannot be ruled out either.
