The race for the European places for next season is tight going down the stretch. Just two matchdays remain in the Bundesliga and Leipzig now find themselves on the outside looking in at the top four. Leipzig are in a must-win situation on Sunday against Augsburg.

1.FC Köln - VfL Wolfsburg

Koln are unbeaten in three of their last four head-to-head meetings with Wolfsburg. On Saturday, the Billy Goats are seeking a fifth straight Bundesliga win. Wolfsburg are safe from relegation and looking for a third straight match without a defeat.

The Billy Goats are sixth in the Bundesliga table. They are on pace to qualify for the Europa League after picking up four straight wins. Things could get better for Koln as they are just three points back of Champions League qualification. They took 12 points from their last 12 on offer.

Wolfsburg took seven points from the last 18 on offer in the league. The Wolves were outscored 12-11 across the last six matches. Koln won 3-2 when these teams played in Wolfsburg earlier this season.

  • The team of 1.FC Köln have managed to win their last 4 games in all competitions.
  • VfL Wolfsburg have won just 1 of their last 12 away matches in all competitions.
  • 1.FC Köln have not been beaten in 6 of their 7 most recent home matches in all competitions.
  • In all their last 3 matches of all competitions, 1.FC Köln have managed to win at both half time and full time.
  • Prediction: 1.FC Köln @ 1.60

Hertha BSC - Mainz

Hertha Berlin can seal Bundesliga safety with a win or draw against Mainz on Saturday. They are currently four points ahead of 16th-place Stuttgart. Mainz are ninth in the division. A win last time out ended a five-match winless streak.

Mainz won 4-0 against Hertha Berlin earlier this season. Since then, the 05ers’ form has been up and down. Just five points were taken from Mainz’s last 18 points available.

Hertha Berlin have improved under coach Felix Magath. They are unbeaten in three straight matches. Ten points were taken from Hertha Berlin’s last 18 points on offer. They scored nine goals and conceded just seven times.

  • Hertha BSC have won just 3 of their last 16 matches in all competitions.
  • Mainz have won just 1 of their last 15 away matches in all competitions.
  • Hertha BSC have scored at least one goal in each of their last 17 home all competitions games.
  • Mainz have been defeated in their last 3 away matches in all competitions.
  • Prediction: Hertha BSC @ 2.55

Eintracht Frankfurt - Mönchengladbach

Eintracht Frankfurt will be coming off of the Europa League semifinal second leg with West Ham on Sunday when they host Borussia Monchengladbach. The Eagles have put their focus on the Europa League. Gladbach have improved in recent weeks and are unbeaten in five of the last six games.

Gladbach are led by ex-Frankfurt coach Adi Hutter, who led them to the 2019 Europa League semi-final. He will hope to continue Gladbach’s excellent form. The Foals took 11 points from the last 18 available to them scoring 12 goals and conceding eight times.

Eintracht picked up a mere three points across the last six games. Each of their last six games finished without a win. It is the Europa League Final or bust for the Eagles.

  • In their last 10 home games in all competitions, Eintracht Frankfurt have recorded only 1 win.
  • Mönchengladbach haven't been beaten in 7 of their 8 most recent away clashes with Eintracht Frankfurt in all competitions.
  • Eintracht Frankfurt have defeated Mönchengladbach in just 1 of their last 7 home league encounters.
  • Mönchengladbach are having a period of 9 straight Bundesliga clashes in all of which they have scored 1 or more goals.
  • Prediction: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.50

RB Leipzig - FC Augsburg

RB Leipzig are unbeaten in six straight matches versus Augsburg in all competitions. Die Roten Bullen are on a two-match Bundesliga losing streak and are now in fifth place. Augsburg are six points ahead of the relegation playoff place. They could still be sucked into 16th place.

Domenico Tedesco’s RB Leipzig are slipping up at the wrong time of the season. One point now separates the Red Bulls from the top four. RB Leipzig are coming off the Europa League semifinal second leg in Glasgow versus Rangers.

Augsburg are in decent form ahead of Sunday’s trip to Leipzig. Nine points were taken from their last 18 available in the Bundesliga. Augsburg scored eight goals and conceded seven during that time frame. These teams drew 1-1 in Augsburg in the reverse fixture.

  • In their last 23 games in all competitions, RB Leipzig have recorded 20 undefeated encounters.
  • FC Augsburg's performance has been disappointing of late, as they have won just 4 of their 24 most recent away all competitions clashes.
  • RB Leipzig haven't been beaten by FC Augsburg in all of their last 8 games in the Bundesliga.
  • FC Augsburg have won only 3 of their last 20 away Bundesliga matches.
  • Prediction: RB Leipzig @ 1.30
