The final Bundesliga matchday of the season is upon us and we've grouped together all the latest data, analysis and football predictions to figure out the probability of Bayer Leverkusen ending the season unbeaten against Augsburg.

Leverkusen have had the most astonishing campaign across all of Europe and unquestionably the best season in German top flight history.

This season has been so impressive from the Bundesliga champions that people are comparing their unbeaten campaign so far to that of Leicester City’s astonishing Premier League win in 2015/16.

So far, after stunningly coming back to draw 2-2 with Roma from 2-0 down yet again in the dire embers of the match, Leverkusen are unbeaten in all competitions and are staring in the face of becoming the first team in European top flight history to surpass 50 games unbeaten.

They are currently unbeaten in Germany after strolling to their first-ever Bundesliga title, which now sees them with 27 wins and six draws across the 33 games.

Only Bayern Munich have scored more with 92 compared to their 87, although only Inter Milan in Serie A and Real Madrid in La Liga have better defensive records than their 23 let in.

Xabi Alonso's side now only have to avoid a loss to Augsburg on the final day, beat Atalanta in the Europa League final and defeat Kaiserslautern in the DFB-Pokal final to become the first-ever team to go unbeaten across all three competitions and make it to 52 games unbeaten.

They should ease past Kaiserslautern in the DFB-Pokal final, given how they are down in 15th of 2. Bundesliga.

What’s more, in this game, Augsburg also have nothing to play for with them safe for another year in the Bundesliga and behind the European spots by four points with just three left to play for.

Augsburg have had a poor season in the end, because despite their efforts to get into the Europa Conference League, they have ultimately fallen short by winning only 10 games this Bundesliga season.

The club are also on an alarming winless run right now by losing 5-1 to Borussia Dortmund, 3-0 at home to Werder Bremen and after losing 3-1 away to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Up against a Leverkusen side desperate to avoid a loss to become the first-ever unbeaten Bundesliga side, this could be a long afternoon for Augsburg.

Forebet predicts another win for Leverkusen and over 2.5 goals.
