Fresh from booking their place in the Champions League semi-finals, Paris Saint-Germain will refocus on their domestic commitments this weekend.

On Sunday evening, Luis Enrique’s side entertain in-form Lyon, who have won eight of their previous 10 Ligue 1 matches to transform their season.

In this preview, we cover all the crucial stats, trends and analysis ahead of Sunday’s showdown. Read on to find out what Forebet’s predictive analytics model forecasts.

PSG thrashed 10-man Barcelona 4-1 on Tuesday, punching their ticket to the last four of the Champions League thanks to a 6-4 aggregate victory.

Following Ronald Araujo’s 29th-minute red card, Enrique’s men were able to finish the game with 68% possession and 21 shots, with Kylian Mbappe bagging a brace.

In Ligue 1, PSG have avoided defeat in each of their last 23 matches to all but wrap up another top-flight title, although they have drawn four of their previous six.

Having drawn four of their last five home league games – taking seven points from a possible 15 – PSG could find themselves under the cosh against high-flying Lyon.

Last weekend, Lyon came from 3-1 down to beat Brest 4-3 in a remarkable contest, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles scoring the winner from the penalty spot in the 106th minute.

That result extended OL’s unbeaten streak to six games across all competitions, with five wins and one draw coming since a 3-0 loss against Lens in March.

When you look at the bigger picture, Lyon have lost just one of their previous 13 matches, securing 11 victories during that period.

Not only have OL won six of their last seven away league games, but they have also won eight of their previous nine matches on the road across all competitions.

Head-to-head: PSG won the reverse fixture 4-1 back in September, meaning they have won four of the last six Ligue 1 meetings between the teams.

OL have managed to win just two of their previous nine league matches against Paris Saint-Germain, conceding exactly four goals on three occasions during that period.

Team news: PSG are still without long-term injury absentees Presnel Kimpembe (convalescence), Layvin Kurzawa (back) and Sergio Rico (head).

Lyon, on the other hand, have reported no fresh injury problems ahead of Sunday's clash, although Nicolas Tagliafico will miss the game through suspension.

There is no denying that Lyon have made vast improvements in recent months. However, PSG should have more than enough firepower to claim all three points.

Forebet’s AI algorithm predicts that Paris Saint-Germain will score over 2.5 goals on their way to defeating Lyon.
