In-form Barcelona will aim to extend their unbeaten streak to 11 games when they host struggling Las Palmas, who have failed to win any of their last five outings.

Barca occupy second place in the table – eight points behind Real Madrid – while 11th-placed Las Palmas find themselves 27 points behind Xavi’s side.

Barcelona claimed an impressive 3-0 victory over Atletico Madrid before the international break, producing a dominant display in the Spanish capital.

The Catalans have now won each of their last three matches across all competitions, avoiding defeat in their previous 10 encounters.

In La Liga, Barca have lost just one of their last 13 games, notching nine wins and two draws to keep the pressure on Real Marid at the top of the standings.

It is also worth noting that Barcelona have kept a clean sheet in each of their previous four league matches, highlighting their defensive solidity.

Meanwhile, Las Palmas suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Almeria last time out, despite racking up 66% possession and 21 shots on home soil.

That loss extended Las Palmas’ winless run to five matches, with two draws and three defeats coming since their last victory.

To make matters worse for Las Palmas, they have managed to win just one of their previous eight La Liga clashes, recording three draws and four losses in that time.

Still, Las Palmas can take confidence from their solid away record, as they have taken 15 road points from a possible 30 since October.

Head-to-head: Las Palmas have failed to win any of their last 11 meetings with Barcelona, who have claimed eight victories since 2000.

Given that nine of the previous 10 encounters have produced over 1.5 goals, Saturday’s clash will likely be a relatively high-scoring affair.

Team news: Gavi, Marcos Alonso and Alex Balde are injured for Barcelona, while Andreas Christensen, Ferran Torres, Pedri and Frenkie de Jong are doubts.

As for the visitors, they are currently without the injured Daley Sinkgraven, while there are question marks over the fitness of Cristian Herrera.

While Barcelona have upped their game in recent times, Las Palmas have continued to struggle, opening up a wider gap between the two sides.

With that in mind, Forebet predicts that Barcelona will score over 1.5 goals on their way to defeating Las Palmas.
