Fantasy Premier League – Picks, Best Players and More for FPL Gameweek 31
1781

With only eight Fantasy Premier League Gameweeks remaining this season, it’s make or break for many FPL managers when it comes to both the overall rankings and mini-leagues.

Gameweek 31 gets underway on Saturday, April 15, with the deadline set for 11:00 (BST). Before we go over the best players for FPL GW31, let’s take a closer look at the fixtures.

Fixtures

  • Aston Villa vs. Newcastle
  • Southampton vs. Crystal Palace
  • Everton vs. Fulham
  • Tottenham vs. Bournemouth
  • Wolves vs. Brentford
  • Chelsea vs. Brighton
  • Man City vs. Leicester
  • West Ham vs. Arsenal
  • Nottm Forest vs. Man Utd
  • Leeds vs. Liverpool

It could be time to load up on Manchester City players, with Pep Guardiola’s side hosting struggling Leicester on Saturday. Arsenal and Manchester United also have favourable fixtures, facing Nottingham Forest and West Ham, respectively.

Liverpool have the potential to run riot against relegation-threatened Leeds on Monday night, while Chelsea’s clash with Brighton is destined to be an intriguing battle.

Without further ado, here are the best FPL players for GW31.

Goalkeepers

David De Gea (Man Utd) has now kept 13 clean sheets this season, with five shutouts coming in his previous seven appearances. Only Everton have scored fewer goals than Nottm Forest this term, so De Gea is in line for another clean sheet this weekend.

Ederson (Man City), Hugo Lloris (Tottenham) and Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal) are also favoured to keep a clean sheet this weekend, while Jordan Pickford (Everton) could prove to be a great differential against Mitrovic-less Fulham.

Defenders

If you’re looking for defenders with clean-sheet potential, Lisandro Martinez (Man Utd), John Stones (Man City), Ruben Dias (Man City) and Gabriel (Arsenal) are arguably the most-nailed options.

If you’re on the search for an in-form differential, Tyrone Mings (Aston Villa), Lewis Dunk (Brighton), Kurt Zouma (West Ham), Michael Keane (Everton) and Ivan Perisic (Tottenham) are all worth considering.

Midfielders

With question marks over the fitness of Marcus Rashford (Man Utd), Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd) could be the best midfield pick against lowly Forest. Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) and Jack Grealish (Man City) are also excellent options.

Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal) has notched 5+ points in seven of his last eight appearances, reaching double digits on three occasions in that time. He is joined by Solly March (Brighton) and Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) in the in-form midfielder department.

Forwards

Needless to say, Erling Haaland (Man City) is a must-have forward. Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) has scored in nine of his previous 11 league outings, while Alexander Isak (Newcastle) has netted five in five.

Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal) is also back in business, having scored three goals in his last two appearances. Harry Kane (Tottenham) remains a constant threat, too, with 23 goals in 30 league matches this season.
