Since arriving at Liverpool in 2017 from Roma for a ridiculously low fee of less than £40 million, Mohamed Salah has scored 19 or more goals in each of his seasons at Anfield.

The 2023-24 season is likely to see Salah tally 19 or more goals, as Liverpool put up yet another Premier League title challenge.

After 12 Premier League matches, Salah has 10 goals and four assists. He is the Premier League’s second-leading goalscorer and just three points behind the league’s top scorer Erling Haaland.

Salah’s incredible goal production this season comes on the heels of reports that widely claimed the Egyptian was Saudi Arabia-bound.

While Salah could leave Anfield for Saudi next summer, the 31-year-old is currently delivering another incredible season for Jurgen Klopp.

The forward averages a goal every 105 minutes in the Premier League, with seven of his goals coming from open play. He has tallied 37% of Liverpool’s scoring.

Although Salah leads Liverpool in scoring and is in double digits, he isn’t the only Liverpool player bagging goals. Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez have scored four league goals apiece.

Meanwhile, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo have three and two goals respectively. Salah is leading the way, but the rest of the team is stepping up to back the undisputed top scorer at Anfield.

Liverpool’s No. 11 played all 38 Premier League games last season, scoring 19 times. With 12 games gone in the league, Salah has tallied half his goal tally in 2022-23.

Last season, Salah didn't score his 10th goal of the league campaign until March. His performances this season have mirrored the rest of the team.

Forget the overhaul with four midfielders joining the club in the offseason. Liverpool have rebounded from a poor campaign, scraping fourth place.

What gets lost in the short-term memory of the football media is the peaks and troughs Klopp’s teams have. Liverpool won the league in 2019-20 but fell off a cliff last season.

In 2021-22, the Reds had a chance to win four trophies, but ultimately only picked up two. The result of their exertion was a down campaign in 2022-23.

Now, the Reds are back, but they aren’t infallible. There are still issues to work out, including the possibility of turning in a poor road performance.

If Salah can continue scoring, then Liverpool can push Man City for the title this season. Matchday No. 13 will be Liverpool’s next test in the title race. They go to the Etihad, needing a big road performance.

Salah has a great goalscoring record against Man City, with 11 goals in 19 matches. He also bagged five assists. Can the Reds pull off a massive win? Salah will need to play another stellar match.
