Serie A action carries on this weekend with a massive battle for the European spots between Atalanta and Fiorentina in Bergamo with Forebet putting together all the latest trends, stats, analysis and data for this weekend’s football predictions.

Although Fiorentina have dropped off in terms of the race for a spot in the top four, they are still well within a shout of the Europa Conference League once more or a spot in the Europa League.

Currently, the Florence side are eight behind Bologna in fourth but only five adrift of Roma and actually only four behind sixth-placed Atalanta.

Fiorentina were in Europe during the week and survived a scare at home to Maccabi Haifa. The two played out a thrilling 4-3 win for the Serie A outfit in the first leg, but a goal from Antonin Barak secured a 1-1 draw in the second leg on Thursday.

Back on the domestic front, Fiorentina have managed to draw three times in the past month, as Roma secured a 2-2 draw in Florence before a 0-0 tie in Turin with Torino and a 1-1 clash with strugglers Empoli.

A further loss to fellow European hopefuls Bologna means the 2-1 win over Lazio at home is all the club have to boast of in the past five league games - Giacomo Bonaventura and Michael Kayode bagged goals that day.

The last battle between these two sides was a thrilling one in terms of data and mathematics. 12 shots on target were spread out across five goals, as Fiorentina ran out 3-2 winners.

Teun Koopmeniers showed his worth again that day with another goal, as Ademola Lookman added to his impressive tally too.

However, finishes from Christian Kouame, Lucas Martinez Quarta and Bonaventura secured a comeback win for Fiorentina as they were currently in the top five back then.

Similarly to Fiorentina, Atalanta are into the next round of the Europa League after a comeback win against Sporting Lisbon with goals from Lookman and Gianluca Scamacca secured a 3-2 win to set up a tie with Liverpool in the quarter-finals.

The Bergamo side did draw 2-2 with Juventus last time out with them also losing to Bologna at home and Inter Milan at the San Siro.

Alongside more dropped points at the San Siro to AC Milan in a 1-1 draw, it now means just one win in the past five in Italy.

Forebet predicts a draw and under 2.5 goals.
