Fantasy Premier League – Top Picks for FPL Gameweek 33

Fantasy Premier League – Top Picks for FPL Gameweek 33
2611

We have another big Double Gameweek on the horizon, with seven teams – Arsenal, Brighton, Burnley, Leicester, Manchester United, Newcastle and Southampton – playing twice in Gameweek 33.

It is also worth noting that three sides – Aston Villa, Leeds and Wolves – blank in Gameweek 33, so make you don’t have any players from those clubs in your team.

Before we check out the best players for FPL Gameweek 33, let’s take a look at the fixtures.

  • Tottenham vs. Brighton
  • Man Utd vs. Norwich
  • Watford vs. Brentford
  • Southampton vs. Arsenal
  • Newcastle vs. Leicester
  • West Ham vs. Burnley

Gameweek 33 gets underway on Saturday, April 16, meaning the deadline is 11:00 (BST) – 1.5 hours before Tottenham and Brighton clash in the early kick-off.

The Double Gameweek fixtures begin on Tuesday, April 19, with Burnley and Southampton wrapping up the Gameweek 33 action on Thursday, April 21.

  • Liverpool vs. Man Utd
  • Everton vs. Leicester
  • Chelsea vs. Arsenal
  • Newcastle vs. Crystal Palace
  • Man City vs. Brighton
  • Burnley vs. Southampton

It’s time to go over the best FPL players for Gameweek 33.

Goalkeepers

Martin Dubravka (Newcastle), Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal), Nick Pope (Burnley) and David De Gea (Man Utd) are the best Double Gameweek goalkeepers.

Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester), Fraser Forster (Southampton) and Robert Sanchez (Brighton) are also worth considering, although they have less favourable fixtures.

Defenders

Given the Magpies’ turnaround under Eddie Howe, Dan Burn (Newcastle), Fabian Schar (Newcastle) and Matt Targett (Newcastle) are all expected to pick up points against Leicester and Crystal Palace.

Other top Double Gameweek defenders include Alex Telles (Man Utd), James Tarkowski (Burnley), Ben White (Arsenal), Wesley Fofana (Leicester) and Kyle Walker-Peters (Southampton).

Midfielders

Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd) and Jadon Sancho (Man Utd) could enjoy plenty of success against Everton and Liverpool. Harvey Barnes (Leicester) and James Maddison (Leicester) are also top DGW picks.

If you think Arsenal will do well against Southampton and Chelsea, Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) and Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal) are the midfielders you want to be targeting.

Away from the Double Gameweek players, Son Heung-min (Tottenham) cannot be ignored. The Spurs star netted a hat-trick last weekend, meaning he has scored six goals across the past three rounds.

Forwards

Consistent forwards have been hard to come by in FPL this season. Ronaldo (Man Utd) is the standout pick for the upcoming Double Gameweek, but don’t disregard Harry Kane (Tottenham).

Other top Double Gameweek forwards include Chris Wood (Newcastle), Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal), Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester), Che Adams (Southampton) and Wout Weghorst (Burnley).
