In Group A of the World Cup Qualification UEFA the teams of Croatia and Belgium lead the standings with 10 points for each undisturbed by the other national formations. The third team in the table, which is Serbia has collected only four points and respectively the win from this meeting is mandatory for the team, if Serbia is to enter the serious battle for qualifying for the World Cup in Brazil.
At the Maksimir stadium the atmosphere will be hot and the pressure will definitely be felt in the players of both teams. Croatia and Serbia meet for only the second time in their football history. This is the first game between these two teams after the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia for the first time will face Serbia, not Yugoslavia.
