Bayer Leverkusen may have already wrapped up the Bundesliga title in style, but the race for Champions League football is far from over in Germany’s top flight.

On Friday, in-form RB Leipzig will be looking to enhance their top-four aspirations when they face inconsistent Hoffenheim at PreZero Arena.

Can the Red Bulls extend their winning streak to five matches? Will Hoffenheim suffer a sixth defeat in eight matches? Keep reading to discover what Forebet’s AI algorithm predicts.

Let’s start by looking at the hosts, Hoffenheim, who suffered a 3-2 defeat against Bochum last time out, conceding a whopping 36 shots in the process.

Hoffenheim have now lost five of their previous seven matches, with each of those encounters producing over 2.5 goals.

To make matters worse for the hosts, they have managed to win just four of their last 17 Bundesliga matches, recording four draws and nine defeats in that time.

That said, Hoffenheim have won three of their last four home league games, with only two defeats coming in their previous 10 at PreZero Arena.

On the flip side, RB Leipzig extended their winning streak to four matches with a 4-1 thrashing of Borussia Dortmund last weekend.

The Red Bulls have now avoided defeat in each of their previous eight Bundesliga matches, registering seven wins and one draw along the way.

Better still, Leipzig have only lost one of their last 12 league games, keeping five clean sheets while scoring over 1.5 goals on 10 occasions.

Having won each of their previous four league games – scoring 15 goals in the process – the Red Bulls will be confident of dispatching off-form Hoffenheim.

Head-to-head: RB Leipzig have won each of their last five meetings with Hoffenheim across all competitions, scoring exactly three goals in four of those games.

In the Bundesliga, Hoffenheim have won just one of their previous 11 matches against the Red Bulls, who have claimed eight victories since 2018.

Team news: Hoffenheim look set to be without Bambase Conte, Dennis Geiger, Marco John, Mergim Berisha and Stanley Nsoki for the foreseeable future.

As for RB Leipzig, Christopher Lenz will miss Friday’s clash due to injury. There are also question marks over the fitness of Mohamed Simakan.

While the hosts have lost five of their last seven Bundesliga matches, the visitors have won seven of their previous eight.

With that in mind, Forebet predicts that RB Leipzig will score over 2.5 goals on their way to defeating Hoffenheim.
