Leganes and Amorebieta Both Aiming for Returns to the Win Column
1847

Two teams in completely contrasting areas of the Segunda Division will meet this weekend with Amorebieta down near the bottom heading to the Estadio Municipal Butarque to meet with Leganes who sit in the top four.

In contrast to last season, Leganes are putting together an early fight for a spot in the top four of Spain's second tier.

They did finish 14th last time out with only 14 wins from 42 games and they would go on to lose 17 times as well.

So far, however, the club are coming into this one only off top spot by two points having won six matches from the 10 games.

Better yet, no side has a better defensive record than Leganes ahead of matchday 11, as the club have let in just five goals and scored 12 of their own.

Despite the excellent form and hopes of a run towards La Liga this season, Leganes are coming into this one off the back of drawing 0-0 with Oviedo and losing to Burgos 1-0.

Worse yet, Seydouba Cisse was sent off that game and now comes into this one with a suspension.

Other wins this season have seen Leganes beat Racing Club 2-1 and Mirandes 3-1, in what was the last run of winning form for them after also losing to Elche.

Dani Raba scored a goal in that run, as Nais Djouahra, Miguel de la Fuente and Diego Garcia all scored goals each for Leganes.

A win here could also see them move into the top three and potentially even top, but Tenerife and Espanyol above them are expected to grab all three points in their games.

As for Amorebieta they have had a terrible season that now sees them on a four-game winless run since a victory over Mirandes where Ryan Edwards scored two goals in the first half, both of which came within a minute of one another.

Since then, however, they have lost to Villarreal B and Racing Ferrol before a loss at home last weekend to Eibar where Josue Dorrio scored another early goal for the club.

The other result in this winless run has seen Amorebieta draw 0-0 with FC Cartagena.

Forebet predicts another win for Leganes and under 2.5 goals, as the poor form of Amorebieta is set to continue. This could also throw Amorebieta into the bottom two, as they sit only two points above Huesca but also four points above Cartagena in last place.
