Marseille are aiming to keep up their unbeaten form in Ligue 1 this weekend with the club sitting second after three games ahead of a trip to the Beaujoire Stadium where Nantes are once again struggling to find any sort of form.

Just like last campaign, Nantes have started the season in terrible style and are heading into this game winless after three games.

Last season, Nantes finished just one point above the bottom four and finished with only 37 goals scored and 55 let in with the fewest wins for those outside the relegation zone with just seven.

This time around, Nantes have lost to Toulouse once again for what is the third time they have done so this year alone after also losing to them in last season’s French Cup final.

Mostafa Mohamed did give his side the lead that day from the penalty spot at home, but a finish from Toulouse in the 91st minute handed the club a home defeat on opening weekend.

Nantes followed this up with a 2-0 defeat on the road to Lille, but manager Pierre Aristouy will be pleased at his side's display in the 3-3 draw with Monaco last time out.

Monaco sit top of the table after three games, and Nantes are so far the only team to take points off them.

On the other hand, they did blow a 2-0 lead with a goal in the first half from Mohamed and a Jean-Charles Castelletto, as Mohamed netted again in the early stages of the second 45.

As for Marseille, their season has still got a dark cloud over it after a stunning loss to Panathinaikos in the Champions League qualifiers.

However, they remain unbeaten in the league right now with the club only dropping points away to Metz, as they sit behind the league leaders Monaco on just goals difference.

Marseille finished third last season and kicked off their campaign with a 3-1 win at home to Reims, as Azzedine Ounahi scored in the first half before a goal from Vitinha that stole all three points.

Vitinha scored late on in the game against Metz to steal a point in a 2-2 draw two weeks ago, as Marseille also beat Brest last time out with a goal each from Chancel Mbemba Mangulu and Ismalia Sarr.

Forebet predicts Marseille to keep on winning and for the game to see over 2.5 goals once again.
