After falling behind with 0-2 until the 70th minute, the team of Ajax managed to turn the game around and deservedly lifted the trophy.
The team of Fluminense is in quite poor form and must seek their first win since 5 matches against Cruzeiro, who is in top form. The guest have been demonstrating lovely football lately and deservedly they top the standings, while Fluminense has a total of only 9 points from 9 games played.
The team of Amkar managed to avoid the playoffs for staying in the league last season in the Russian Premier League. This was only due to Amkar`s better goal difference by just one goal more than Volga Nizhny`s one. However, Amkar performed quite well in the first two games of the season and definitely an optimism can be felt in the squad of Amkar that the team will perform better this year.
CSKA Moscow did not start this season in the best way possible, but the team is favorite to win this match. It is expected that this Moscow derby will offer entertaining football with at least two goals scored.
Just in the second round the Russian Premier League offers us a great clash between the teams of Rubin (Kazan) and Zenit St Petersburg. Rubin will definitely have the mental advantage, because of the three successive wins against this rival in all competitions. Rubin is also traditionally strong at home, and no doubt the team will try to maintain this trend in the new season.
Dundalk hosts at their stadium the leader in the standings - St Patricks, in a match of the final round before the break in the championship.
Despite the first place which currently occupies HJK Helsinki surprisingly the team performance as host is not so good (2 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses). They will face the seventh-placed Inter Turku in the first round after the break for international matches.
