Borussia Dortmund had a massive game on the weekend as they faced Eintracht Frankfurt at home in the Bundesliga. A victory for the hosts would have moved them within one point of the visitors and a place in the top four.

However, Borussia Dortmund fell a goal behind after only 11 minutes and despite finding an equaliser just before half-time, they conceded a second goal with only a few minutes remaining on the clock to lose the match 2-1.

That result leaves Borussia Dortmund 7 points behind their opponents with some tough fixtures remaining against Wolfsburg, RB Leipzig, and Bayer Leverkusen.

Having drawn Manchester City in the quarter-final of the Champions League, it appears as though their run in that competition is going to come to an end and they will not qualify for the tournament next season.

With that in mind, there are some players in the squad who may be looking for a move in the summer. The most obvious candidate is Erling Haaland and the striker has been heavily linked with several of the biggest teams in Europe, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Manchester United.

It is believed there is no clause in Haaland’s contract that allows him to leave the club should they fail to qualify for the Champions League but his agent, Mino Raiola, has already held talks with Barcelona and Real Madrid over a possible move for the 20-year-old, according to reports in the media.

Haaland has a contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2024 but is one of the most sought-after players in Europe. Even if Borussia Dortmund win all their remaining Bundesliga matches this season and they finish in the top four, there is a strong chance they are going to lose Haaland.

Another of the players who could be leaving the Westfalenstadion in the summer is Jadon Sancho. The England international was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United last summer but the deal appeared to fall through.

The transfer could be resurrected this summer and Sancho will be tempted to move to a club playing Champions League football. With another year gone on his contract, Borussia Dortmund will not want to lose Sancho without obtaining a significant transfer fee.

Therefore, it could happen this year and Manchester United will be keen to add the 21-year-old to their attacking ranks for the 2021/22 campaign.

Giovanni Reyna is a young talent who is on the radar of many clubs around Europe. The 18-year-old American has been excellent when called upon this season and has a huge future ahead of him in the game. Youssoufa Moukoko made his debut for Borussia Dortmund this season having turned 16 and became the youngest player in Bundesliga history.

He also made his debut in the in the UEFA Champions League as a substitute against Zenit Saint Petersburg, becoming the youngest player in the history of the competition.

It maybe a little early to suggest Moukoko could make a big money move this summer but he sure to be catching the eye of the big spenders around Europe.
