Signing Jadon Sancho will be the biggest coup of the summer

Recent media reports suggest that Dortmund are ready to part company with highly-rated England winger Jadon Sancho this summer. However, the fact that the youngster is likely to cost upwards of £100million is unlikely to put suitors off attempting to sign him.

The 19-year-old has been simply sensational for BVB this season, scoring 12 goals and producing 13 assists in 19 Bundesliga appearances this season. The winger only needs to produce one more assist to match last season’s tally of goals and assists for the whole league campaign.

Sancho is not just some overhyped teenager, as the former Manchester City player recently became the first teen to ever score 25 goals in the Bundesliga. That is quite some achievement considering the number of talented youngsters the German top-flight has featured in recent years.

Dortmund has been the perfect club for the winger to develop and gain the experience needed to become a player at the top-level of the European game.

His development and talent over the last few years at Dortmund has certainly not gone unnoticed. If he does leave this summer then not only are a host of Premier League clubs keen to sign him, but also a couple of European giants too.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are the teams most frequently linked with a move for Sancho. However, reports from German and Spain respectively now have Bayern Munich and Barcelona as potential suitors for the winger this summer.

Any club signing Sancho would not just be buying potential. He turns 20 next month, but would not look out of place in any of the top European teams, that is how good the youngster is.

If Sancho does move on this summer, his signing will be a coup for whichever club he joins, even if the fee is over £100million.
