Liverpool are now eight points clear of second-place Leicester City following a convincing victory over reigning champions Manchester City.

Chelsea made it six wins from six in the league, while Watford picked up their first league victory of the campaign. Sheffield United and Wolves continue to climb up the table, but Tottenham and West Ham continue to struggle.

>Watford picked up their first league win of the season at Carrow Road. Gerard Deulofeu gave Quique Sanchez Flores’ side the lead on 2 minutes before Andre Gray sealed the victory in the second-half. Christian Kabasele was sent off for the Hornets.

Saturday’s Round-Up

Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic both got on the scoresheet again as Chelsea secured their sixth straight Premier League victory. The Blues completely dominated at Stamford Bridge, and move up to third in the table.

West Ham’s woes continue as they were well beaten by Burnley. Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood put the Clarets 2-0 up before half-time, while a mistake from stand-in Hammers’ goalkeeper Roberto made sure the hosts claimed a comfortable three points.

Goals from DeAndre Yedlin and Ciaran Clark earned Newcastle a second consecutive win at St. James’ Park. Harry Wilson gave Bournemouth the lead on 14 minutes via a brilliantly-worked set-piece, but the Magpies came from behind to snatch the victory.

Southampton were beaten again at home as Everton took the points away from St. Mary’s. Danny Ings cancelled out an early Tom Davies header, but Richarlison scored the winner for Everton, relieving some of the pressure on manager Marco Silva.

A George Baldock equaliser saw Sheffield United move up to fifth in the table. Son Heung-min gave Spurs the lead just before the hour mark, while the Blades also had another goal ruled out by VAR before levelling the match.

Arsenal are without a win in four league games after being comfortably beaten by high-flying Leicester. Jamie Vardy and James Maddison scored within the space of seven second-half minutes to hand the Foxes their fourth-straight win in the Premier League.

Super Sunday

Ruben Neves netted a spectacular long-rage effort as Wolves triumphed over Aston Villa in the West Midlands derby. Raul Jimenez wrapped up the points for the hosts on 84 minutes, while Trezeguet’s late strike for Villa was scored too late to inspire a comeback.

Manchester United secured their fifth win in six games in all competitions as they cruised to victory against Brighton. The Red Devils were 2-0 up inside 20 minutes thanks to Andreas Pereira and Davy Propper (OG). Lewis Dunk pulled one back for the visitors, but Marcus Rashford clinched the points moments later.

Goals from Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane saw Liverpool go eight points clear of second-place Leicester. Bernardo Silva scored late on for Manchester City, but the Reds deservedly claimed all three points after controlling the game at Anfield.
