Moise Kean: The breakthrough season
3644

The sky’s the limit for this young striker after a sensational 12 months for club and country.

Moise Kean’s rise to prominence was one of the standout stories in Serie A last season. The 19-year-old helped Juventus win an eighth successive Scudetto and has quickly become one of European football’s hottest prospects.

His pace, direct approach and keen eye for goal meant the promising young striker scored seven times for Juventus last campaign in just 16 appearances. His eye-catching performances also gained him international recognition.

Italy boss Roberto Mancini wasted no time in calling him up to the senior squad and Kean repaid the faith shown in him with two goals in three games for the Azzurri; becoming the youngest player to score for Italy since 1958.

It’s been a long road for Kean to get to where he is today but his work ethic and dedication in training have helped him achieve his goals.

Kean was born in northern Italy to Ivorian parents and spent time with the Torino youth team before Juventus came calling. He then spent six years making a name for himself in the Juventus academy.

He became the club’s youngest ever player when he made his first team debut in 2016 and in turn became the first player born in the 2000s to appear in Europe’s major leagues.

He then spent the following season on loan at Verona in search of first team football. Despite the club’s relegation to Serie B, Kean impressed making 20 appearances and scoring 4 goals.

He returned to the Allianz Stadium for the 2018/19 season and has now proven that he is ready to compete for a regular spot in the Juventus starting eleven.

Training on a daily basis with world-class forwards such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic will only enhance his chances of becoming one of the top strikers in Europe.

It has been reported that Kean is set to sign a new deal with Juventus that will keep him at the club until 2024. This is testament to his recent outstanding campaign with the club.

The future is bright for Moise Kean. If he continues to progress at such a rate, he has the potential to become one of Juventus’ and Italy’s great goal-scorers.

Positive initial talks have already been held between Juve and Kean's agent, Mino Raiola, with the club convinced over wanting to keep the forward in Turin, regardless of who is chosen to replace Massimilano Allegri as manager.
