Joe Hart can revive his career at Torino
England number one Joe Hart is close to completing a season-long loan move to Serie A side Torino from Manchester City. The 29-year-old has fallen down the goalkeeping pecking order behind new signing Claudio Bravo and Argentinian Willy Caballero.
The former-Shrewsbury star is in the England squad despite losing his starting place at Manchester City. Hart was heavily linked with a summer move to Everton, but Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has dismissed interest in the goalkeeper.
Tottenham, Liverpool and Sunderland have also been linked with a move for Hart, but the goalkeeper is reportedly heading to Turin to complete his move to Italy.
Hart endured a poor Euro 2016 with the England national team, as his displays were criticised. There was even talk of the City star being ousted as Three Lions number one. He definitely now faces a fight for the England number one spot.
Maybe a move away from the glare of the British press will do the keeper good, as he can focus on his game instead of being distracted by media criticism and outside interests. Hart often comes across as over-confident, but his concentration has let him down at times.
Hart is no doubt a good goalkeeper, having claimed a record number of four golden glove awards in the Premier League, but he has a tendency to make silly mistakes. He now has the chance to make a fresh start in a new country and a chance to prove to everybody that he is committed to improving his game.
