Ibrahimovic will bring star dust to Manchester United

Swedish international superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic completed a free transfer to Premier League Manchester United on Friday. The move had long been speculated and it has now been confirmed that the 34-year-old striker will be plying trade his trade in the Premier League next season.

For all his talk and cockiness he usually delivers quality performances and goals on the pitch. Despite being in what seems like the twilight of his career, Ibrahimovic enjoyed his best ever campaign in front of goal scoring 52 times for big spending French outfit PSG.

The striker believes he is only just getting started in his career and his form from last season supported that view. His game is all based on his football brain and that is unlikely to ever be altered by his age.

He never really had pace, never really needed it as his intelligence as a footballer was enough to make him a standout player and make him one of the brightest stars in European football.

Manchester United have been mired in mediocrity for the past few years, as Dutch boss Louis van Gaal has struggled to bring back the glory days to Old Trafford. He failed and the summer appointment of Jose Mourinho was a sign of that the Red Devils mean business.

The arrival of Mourinho and Ibrahimovic is box office for United and they will not be mediocre next season that is for sure. Both are stars in their own right and the Red Devils needed a bit of star dust to kick-start their flagging fortunes.

Ibrahimovic has been successful at every club he has played, even if he has not always been appreciated. No doubt the Swede will be successful at United and in the process bring his own special kind of presence with him.
